The Bored Son is owned by Mark Bordsen, who now in retirement has time to offer this business.  Mark grew up in a small Montana town where the cold winters were made easier to weather by board games.  When his kids were young, (also in Montana), Mark began buying garage-sale and second-hand store games for them, and got hooked into a hobby that now counts more than 3,000 different games. (Some of the games are incomplete, so Mark is ever alert for duplicates that will complete those sets.)  Now Mark is using his collection to run a business so people can enjoy playing these games, and paying a reasonable price to time and travel and other business-related costs, plus a small profit in.

Mark observes that it is a pleasure to operate a business where all ages can enjoy playing games and have fun.  Those who play The Bored Son's games may feel at times frustrated, foiled, frantic or fabulous in victory, but all of those feelings will be fun.

The Bored Son business is licensed in Washington and Idaho.

For events not held at the store, with sufficient advance notice, The Bored Son will be able to meet your event date.  Mileage will be charged, so costs increase according to the distance of travel.  A reasonable rate is charged also for moderating the board game event, and for set-up and take-down time.  Overnight stay expense will be charged as warranted.

The Bored Son is also willing, for a fee, to assist with various community fund-raising efforts.
