The Bored Son (Mark Bordsen) recently authored an article that was published in the American Game and Puzzle Collectors quarterly.  The short article with photographs was about All-Star Baseball a game first produced by major league baseball player Ethan Allen and the Cadaco-Ellis game company in the 1940's.  For a span of almost 40 years, the company produced an annual updated series of spinner discs that replicated in play that batter's hitting statistics.  It was and is a most enjoyable game, now out of print but still available on eBay.  It is one of the games available to play.
